and it Begins…..
Warm weather this winter has allowed activity to begin at Firelands Regional Medical Center Stadium. The excitement is building and there is still time to support this project and be recognized on the donor wall at the entrance to the stadium. We are excited to begin the construction phase, but there is still much to do. Thanks to all in the community who have supported the renovation project to date. Stop back frequently as we will continue to update the progress with pictures. Check out the “SEE IT AS IT IS BUILT” tab on the home page!

The Briar Middle School Community Service Club under the direction of Mr. Speer and Mr. Struzinger raised over $765.62 during the school’s Pride Week. With an idea started by Briar Secretary Ms. Sullivan, the Community Service Club created a fundraising competition between 6th, 7th and 8th grades at Briar School. For every dollar raised, the class received a link on the spirit chain displayed thoghout the week in the cafeteria. The competing classes monitored the growth of their spirit chain with the winning class earning a free period as an incentive. Congratulations to the 8th graders raising the most money in the competition. Each grade had team leaders to promote and encourage the fundraising competition throughout Pride Week. The Community Service Club chose this year to donate $382.81 toward the Stadium Renovation Project. On February 15th, the team leaders presented Perkins High School Athletic Director with a donation check for the renovation.
